Just a quick note to say thanks for this incredibly supportive, informative message board, and to all of you who take the time to share your N experiences.
I've known for about 4 months now that my mom is an N. However, even before this was figured out, I had instinctively begun limiting her ability to do N damage to our lives over the last 9 or so years - I emigrated from our homeland! I have only seen her in person twice in the last 9 years and we really just have a penpal relationship - the penpal aspect has turned out to be surprisingly effective in that it is a controlled environment for her and is easily terminated by me when she gets out of hand, plus it forces her to think a bit more about what she's going to say before she says it.
I look forward to spending a lot more time on this board. Blessings to all of you.
