my main goal in life was to discredit my mom.

Good for you Kelly that you are feeling better about the whole work/mom situation.  Now I know I have been majorly cheering you on.   I would just like to pull back a teeny tiny bit.

After your anger has run its course, and your mom is all defeated, and pathetic, you might still feel a bit bad if you had done a lot to bring her down (not that this feeling wouldbe justified).  So I would just caution that you don't really need to bring her down - her own actions will do that.  People who don't have the handicap of having been brought up by an N are quicker to smell a rat.

Well everyone, I just got back from South Dakota and just made first step District Manager so my network marketing business is going well!!

I even told my mother when I got back that there were some products in our line that I think she and my father could benefit from!!  She didn't even seem defensive!!!  Progress!  But then during a meeting she and our manager said that there had been some complaints that the topic of my network company was taking over the business (there are a couple other women at work that are my uplines!! They are obsessive-compulsive about this company!!!)  I was hoping they were not making reference to me - because I told them that anyone could do both - they just needed to leave the part time business at home and do it after work hours!

I agree that when I finally don't care and don't need to run to this forum to vent, then I will finally be free of mom!!!  I haven't come here for some time until this episode and I think it shows progress on my part!  Thank you for all your support - I really loved the list jophil put up - it is so accurate!!!
