HIya Write:

Our Thanksgiving is over (awhile back) up here in the Great White North, but I just thought I'd pop in here and wish you a Happy one anyway (and everyone)!!!

Turns out.....you're already having one and that makes me smile!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks for sharing and hope your tomorrows are just as quiet, peaceful and comfortable (same to all).

Same here write.

Peace and quite and doing my own thang.

I'm doing all kinds of things and that doesn't include my h! He's not here and boy am I happy about that. I never thought I would say that. YIPEE!!!!
:D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

I got one of those Jennie-O turkey breasts which goes from freezer to oven and roasts in 2 hours. I'm having that plus a yam, salad, and dressing.

The sun is actually peaking out of clouds right now. A perfect day.

No drama is so nice ... peaceful.

Hi Sela.

I keep hearing the Canadian stations here advertise about our boxing day, tomorrow, and going to the sales due to the strong dollar in Canada. Now there is drama and chaos ... shopping on the busiest day of the year. Not me. I'll be talking a walk on the beach. :)
The truth is in me.[/color]

I'm Sallying Forth on a new adventure! :D :D :D

Not bad at all.
Kids went out with exNidiot because he is leaving the country on business tomorrow for three weeks. YAY!!
Anyway, kids and I had a great feast when they got back.....all the foods we love....no meat at all.....just veggies and STARCH!!! That got us laughing a lot. I have the best kids ever. Now it's a video for the couch potatoes and  that's about it...pie later when there's room (if). It's just fun to hang out with my kiddos.
Had time to post and that's a good thing too.  Hoping everyone had a great day!

Oh bloating!
Oh pie!
Oh I am so grateful I have a simple church potluck to take NMom to!
It was okay though...saw good friends, ate (too much) great food,
and came on home to no dishes and a four-hour nap the likes of which I haven't taken in many many months. I've been exhausted and this helped.

Simple, and with NMom neutralized by the crowd.
whew.

Write,
The kids and I had a quiet but lovely T-Day.  I cooked the traditional meal and now, of course, have more leftovers than I know what to do with.  We got to enjoy dinner in our sweats, rather than the dressing up that we always had to do in the past.  We then curled up in the family room and watched "Finding Nemo."

A perfect holiday--no drunken fathers or fil's, no arguments, no long drawn out (but totally insincere) toasts or blessings, no dry turkey or cold food.  Absolutely perfect.  :P

I'm so glad we're realising our calm-place family dreams.

It's so much nicer to cook, relax, walk the dog etc

My neighbour brought me a peace-offering pumpkin pie too!

I think that's the first holiday I really relaxed and enjoyed in my life...
