another one for the recordbooks....
« on: March 01, 2006, 01:10:40 PM »
Hello all,

Just to give an update, my children just spent the weekend w/ a friend in another state and she called with some interesting and disturbing news.  While picking up my D's underwear, they were joking that those little pink things must be her brothers and my daughter told her that her "daddy liked wearing girl's panties".

How the HELL does my 6 yo daughter know this? I told my friend to document the "chat".  It amazes me how much children know.  I don't know if this is something I should inform the current CPS investigator of or not.  Yes, I think I'll give her a call.

I don't mean to offend anyone who has those sorts of preferences, but if you've read my x's list of sexual behaviors, this is definately unhealthy that my D knows about this.  I don't want to ask her myself b/c I don't think she will tell me or get mad at my friend for betraying the confidence.

Anyway, my D seems mad at her dad and says she doesn't want to see him, but I can see her little heart breaking.  The good news is that we will be starting counseling with a dv and personality disorder counselor.  Our first family meeting is next week.  I spoke w/ her last night and really like her techniques.  Oh, she's also an art therapist (in case the children can not put a word-label on their feeling).  I feel VERY excited about the possibilities.
