Is it normal...
« on: March 05, 2006, 11:38:01 PM »
Is it normal to not remember anything specific about your childhood....

Like I have this general overall "feeling" that it was happy and fine. But is that true, or what I have told myself?

Anyone relate? Do the memories come back with T or do I just have a poor memory??

Wow, Bean.
That is just amazing.
That "good" list represents every single way a person with Ndamage could turn their lives around.

Awesome!
Thank you for this.

Hiya Healme

I remember quite a lot I think, but I have huge spans of time which I can’t remember anything about – which makes me think ‘nothing happened of any note!’.

Do you remember stuff like your first day at school? Or events at school before say age 10? A toy? A friend? Reading a particular book? A food you didn’t like?

Many people apparently don’t remember much before around age 10. I don’t think it’s abnormal as such.

What I remember most is the traumatic stuff; that makes a big dent in our brains. The less traumatic doesn’t make such a big impression I think?

memory and personality type

In some personality  Systems, memory can be an indicator of a personality type where there are usually positive  compensations aspects for negative traits.   Say a visual type might be more aware of a lot of options but lack discrimination in wisely choosing the best option, where the audio type might worry and fret too long on which option to choose but it will tend to be better thought out…  of course, one can have both, but  it seems often humans tend to overuse their gifts and not work to bring a  proper balance to all parts of the system
