I know that this is a place for peopel who are healing from narcisstic people, and hope that this is not offensive to anyone, but this is a link to the  signing of a petition that asks for more help and things  to try to find ways to heal NPD. It seems like this help is really needed.

Thanks for that cite Bloopsy.  I looked for something like that and couldn't find anything.  Yes, it does look like the APA and others have just written off Ns  That's unfortunate but the reason may be because the condition is probably most prevelant amongst those in the highest echelons of our society and world.  Politicians, mega stars, corporate leaders etc don't get to those positions by their sheer genious or talent.  It's that all consuming drive to get where they want to be no matter what the price or rather no matter who pays the price.  To cure N might destabilize the entire world system!  Leaders might actually start care about those outside their realm.

I thought it was really interesting the other day when the media covered a story about mama Bush's comments regarding the hurricane survivors who were now living in the Astrodome shelter.  She marveled at how well thiis was working out for them considering so many of them came from underprivledge.  That's about the level of empathy we have seen consistently throughout the Bush dynasty.

Hi Bloopsy,

Thanks for posting this link.  I’m locking this thread because the topic of the rights/injuries/victimization of people with NPD has previously been exhaustively and unproductively debated on this board.  People with NPD looking for support and advocacy should visit:  www.healnpd.org

Best,

Richard
