Lily,
This kind of goes along with your topic (and drives me nuts). I hate the forced events we have for my husband's job. When they roll around, I'm known to say I dread going. EVERY SINGLE TIME, my mother says, "When your Dad was in the military, I LOVED going to those events. You will have a wonderful time." I no longer talk to her about it, b/c after 10 plus years of that being the answer to my complaint, I realized the answer would never change. It's amazing that basically I have had the same conversations with my mother for 30 or more years, with the exact same answers. Why did it take me so long to realize this??????
Thanks!
Beth
