Hey !
« on: August 27, 2006, 08:53:53 PM »
Wanted to say hello to everyone !

Brigid and Hops

I love the people here in TX and the schools are great..
Last year with the Katrina so near to Dallas, I experienced  the willingness of the people here to help strangers.

D is having  lots of fun she has many friends and is invited to many activities to keep her busy.
We hug each other allot and she tells me since the move she can see the changes in me for the better.
I think she means I'm not as stressed and both of us are becoming happier people.

My brother-law and family have been great, we have fun going places with them.
He wants to take D to New York this winter break.
He has given me 20 hrs a week of work to do at home and pays me every month.
My Job is doing fine and the hours are perfect to pick up D from school and have time to watch her volleyball games and be home for dinner too.

Life is great, I'm still waiting for the final divorce papers to come in the mail, Ex is slow..
I had to threaten him with a contempt of court before he sent me the papers to sign and says the judge told him to file and that's what he would do.... the final papers are still pending...

I'm saving my 1  bottle of wine to celebrate on that day !

Thanks for all the support, I could not be here like I am today with out all of you.
If I never said this before, all of you know who you are, please remember in those days of my leaving CA, I was able to have the strength because of the support from this group of wonderful people.
Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart.. you all helped change a strangers life for the better.

OR,
Great news all around  :D.  You deserve all the happiness in the world after what you survived.  You are such a great example for your daughter.  I hope you can find some time for yourself to relax and have fun once in awhile.

I hope we'll see you around more often.

Hugs,

Brigid

Hiya OR:

I've often thought of you and wondered how you are doing.  So glad you posted and glad also, to hear that things are going so well.  That's wonderful!!

You did it, OR!!!  You really did it!!  I remember your posts about your struggles and I am so proud of you for persevering and going for your goal to be free and safe and happy (and especially for your D).   Great news that she's settling in and enjoying life and you too!

Hi OR and welcome back,

We've never "met" but it's still great to hear that you and your daughter have settled in and are doing so well in your new home.
Many bright blessings on this new beginning you've begun!

With love,
Hope

OR!!!!!
So great to hear from you! I always think of you, and your bravery....you know you have been my hero!
And your courage gave me courage to get away as well!!!
I am encouraged to hear about your D adjusting nicely....mine is doing ok, and I expect will do better once school starts and she knows some people...she also wants little to do with her dad, although the courts will think otherwise....I guess when she talks to him he "tries to make (her) feel guilty for leaving".  Once an **s, always an **s, I guess!!!!
LOVE that you checked in as well!!!

And glad things are well with OR!

It's a morning for greetings!

Life is great,

it is so important I think when people come back even though they moved on, and let us see the amazing process of extricating your life from confusion and hurt and rebuilding it.

When I first came here I would read people's moving-on stages really closely, hardly daring to hope that could be me one day...seeing how people overcome setbacks, and grow stronger and heal.

you all helped change a strangers life for the better.

and you've done that too!

Hi OR,

I echo the things said here - it's so good to have examples of people coming out on the other end of it.

In the texas/Rita sense - we went the opposite way everyone else was goping - Louisiana!!!!!  :-(

Write  this is so true the process of taking one step at a time out of the nightmare, I have to pinch myself sometimes when I look at my life now.  I just know that by what I have accomplished I can see and living a happier life because of the people here.  Sometimes I write stuff or comment and never sure if it has made an impact on anyone it's cool to see how a little emotional support can change lives.

Mum so good to hear from you,,, remember the dream of the Las Vegas great escape from the N-Beast and the people down below willing to catch and  help the woman from the building.. That dream sticks with me
I remind myself how N-s can turn into Beast and to keep far away. I feel I was that woman, I had to be brave and trust others would help along the way. I believe your dream helped me and so glad you shared the story.

Sela I remember your posts about your struggles

Sela, remember the stories about  stepping in the boat, rowing away from the dock leaving behind everything (N) to never see the dock again.  Was that your story? That was so helpful. I hope that was your story, anyway you were wonderful... Thank you

Thank you all  and as time permits I will try and spend more time here.
