Thank you, GS

I agree will everything you said, even that I agree to all the responses.

She said, as I mentioned away back, that God has fogiven her and she has forgiven herself. If that is the case, she wouldn't have been so angry and willing to sling the mud at me to divert the topic.

For all her years as this supposed Christian, I have never believed it! Eventually the liar exposes himself. I was more certain when she came to me one day, speaking in tongues, and again when she emailed that she and her husband were setting up their own Church. (huh???)

I feel validated over the incident now and there will be no more nightmares about her, I feel quite sure. I am happy I live 2000 miles away from her. I can now "disengage from the toxic resentment and hatred".

Love
Izzy

Actually, that's detachment rather than forgiveness, but that's OK.

Forgiveness comes after all of the healing, and the detachment, after you have reached a place of safety and processed all that needs to be processed, honestly and completely.

But then, it definitely comes.

As I thinik about this whole situation, she was the last N to deal with before I could move on.

In revealing her own personality, by projecting it as mine, I have more 'closure' than if she had just said, "I ought not have done that. I'm sorry!"

.....because I still would have believed that she had intentionally set out to hurt me and there were more occasions than that one. It was the worst.

....but now I've thrown it into her yard and can leave it go!

Iz,
Sounds like it's the validation you desired and thereby the impetus you needed to clean house!!!!
