The Rolling Stones 60's song 'Under my Thumb'  -  few months ago, I was handed the lyrics to this song and asked what I thought of them - struck me that the words spoke of the change in a person, who was once confident, but, now subservient under the control of an N ??

My reason for posting the lyrics to 'Under my Thumb' and 'Behind Blue Eyes' was due to being somewhat stunned at the time of being made aware of the actual words of both these 1960's songs.

Also, on a more thoughtful note (excuse the pun!) the words of both these songs were written and played, from the 1960's onwards, as sometimes I wonder how it is that we are supposedly advanced in technology, but sadly, still no sign of change regarding human behaviour, in fact, it would appear that we have regressed! ..............just my thoughts

But back to the lyrics, they were written from someones soul, maybe, a case of 'What you Write is What you are??' 

'Behind Blue Eyes' ................... interested to hear what others think of this.

This song popped into my head this weekend for some reason.  Maybe because my NH was walking around all weekend singing....Don't You Wish Your Girlfriend Was HOT Like ME............(?????????)  Interesting.

They call this one a "One Hit Wonder".   Duh!  Wonder why?  My N is a One Hit WONDER!

I think maybe Behind Blue Eyes is not about the singer, but a 1st-person lyric about some N the singer loved?

Don't know enuf about The Who, but they did Tommy, which was about an abused child, and had empathy...
