hi Overcomer (ex kell)

You can clean out the History every time you leave the computer. Would that help?

hi

With Explorer open, Go to--Tools menu---Choose...Internet Options----choose... Delete... and if yours is like mine, another window will pop up and you can choose temp files (always clean these out), cookies (sometimes if you are registered somewhere and the cookie is gone you might have to sign in again...I do with Pogo and my TV listings), and History.... will take away every site you have visited

I have mine set to keep for 0 days. All History is gone at midnight.

Good Luck

Hi  Overcomer,  Iz, GS,

I'm glad this subject came up.  I have a new computer and I'd not thought to check how long my history was stored.  It was seven days.    Have reset it.   :)

OK Izzy wizard -thank you for your help. I have another computer question.  When I go to my start menu and click DOCUMENTS a history of documents pops up including ones that I don't want anyone else to know exists.  How can I clear that out?  Got any ideas? - GS

Hiya GS

You are referring to “My Recent Documents” list?

Right click on Start button----- Choose Properties…..Choose Start Menu tab…… Choose Advanced tab……at the bottom regarding Recent Documents, you can choose to list them, or not. by checking that box, or un-checking it, and there is a Clear List button
Voilà

You are welcome!

Izzy

I don't mind helping out, if it's in my knowledge base of experience, and I'm already ar the computer.
