Hi all.
I'm on Lexapro, a very small 5 mg dose, for anxiety/depressive disorder of some kind, depending on which doctor you ask. lol...none of them seem to agree.
I was wondering, if any of you, who are on only 1 Antidepressant (Lexapro or other, but not a cocktail of them), experience not being able to cry very much about anything. That's probably the only real drawback of Antidep. They seem to squelch ANY form a real expression of emotions, in the effort of avoiding the OVERKILL of them.
Anyone else?

Hello , I was put on Celexa (SSRI) and i believe Lexapro is a SSRI as well (however you can correct me on that if i am wrong)
the problem with me was that the Celexa worked "to well" and it made me go manic, so my pdoc said it is typical for people with mood disorders ( bipolor) not to be able to take anti depressents,,
However I can tell you that Lithium stunts your emotions, you litterally feel zombie like without any real emotions ( it is horrible)
I would mention your symptoms with your physcian
