As I was reading over many of your posts this morning, as I try to do every morning and sometimes during the day, I realized what a priviledge, honor and humbling experience it has been, to read about your lives, your pains, your heartbreaks, and ultimately, many of your successes.
Through the years, being that I enjoy studying the human mind and the dysfunctions of it, in order to find ways to help people, I have usually come across abuse stories, yet rarely have I been able to follow-up on the victims or the survivors.
You here, on this board, the people I have come to know and care about, have allowed others to READ YOUR STORIES, SHARE YOUR LIVES, MOURN AND REJOICE WITH YOU, FOLLOW YOU ON YOUR JOURNIES TO VICTORY!
What an AWESOME gift you have all given to me, to others, to yourselves!
I've been able to watch many of you come to this board, hesitant, scared, depressed, angry...only to enter therapy, find yourself spiritually, connect to someone in your life, make changes, and ultimately FIND FREEDOM! I GOT TO BE PART OF YOUR GROWING PROCESS, PART OF YOUR STORY!
The one reason most people would read a book, is to not only see the beginning and middle and experience the high point of it, but to find out THE ENDING!
Here with all of you, I've been able to do just that, along with experiencing my own journey and support through it.
