Dear tjr,
  It is funny. My son bought a book on HOW we pay attention. It talks about simply viewing "space" instead of objects.IOW, you change a narrow focus to a broader focus. I have been doing the exercises and I SEE all  new ways of looking at life. All of a sudden,I will just "know" a truth like the one that I wrote about. It just "hit" me as I was driving.

As I grow, I see the truth of this thread--more and more.Your choices are for the things that reside with you--only.
 There ARE many choices in this arena, though. Our self expression, values, emotions(try to), relationships, living with love or not, ethics, etc
  So, now I work on "inner space".                            Ami
