A Gratitude post
« on: February 05, 2008, 04:43:53 PM »
Hi Guys,

Second paper finished and on my prof's desk.  I want to acknowledge the faith you guys had in me when I struggled with my first one.  By the way I was happy with the mark I got and the feedback was balanced, clear, and useful from Prof.  So 2nd one over and now I have to think about my next piece of work.  I so love my course, my last paper was on memory and political activism...........very interesting.  A lot of what I read has to do with victims/oppressors/war/abuse/ politics etc heavy going but also hopeful in many ways.  Ironically, my experience with Nism has given me insight into some of the less palatable aspects of the course..  At one class, on torture, a classmate, having read a particularily horrific piece, blurted out "I don't know anyone who could do such things" before I knew it my response was "I do"......... got some funny looks that day.  Anyway, just a word of acknowledgement for your support and encouragement when I thought I was going to crack up trying to write my first paper.

Hugs and joy to all,

axa

Axa,

Thanks to you too!

PS. Did you write a `things Axa is going to do this year' thread yet?

I am enormously inspired by your `to-do' lists.
