Learn to ice skate without a look of terror on my face
I can help with the ice skating lessons. I used to coach and be a professional ice skater.
Here are a few tips.
1. Make sure your skates have good ankle support and the blades are sharp.
2. Keep your arms steady. Keep them in front of you reached out straight like they are resting on a table. This is so that your weight is forward and not backward (at least one reason).
3. Keep your knees slightly bent.
4. Keep your toes pointed outward -- like a duck.
5. pick your feet up and march for the first 100 steps. I guarantee if you do this, by the time you have gone around once, practicing the above, you will be steady and will actually be smiling.
6. If you do feel like you are going to fall then place your hands, quickly, on your knees, it stops you from falling (sometimes).
Also, don't fight falling, the more you do the harder you are going to fall. Always try to land on your tush
Next week:
stopping!
Great list!

P.S. you are not going to look very graceful practicing the above but we are only talking about reaching your list goal of not skating with the look of terror on your face
