mom's operation
« on: February 24, 2008, 09:52:03 AM »
I never want to see my mother have to endure an operation of any kind.  But it's even worse because of my nsister/ her ndaughter... She has treated my mother so awfully over these past two years (especially).
Last year we went through this when she needed to have surgery, and Tuesday we will do it all over again.
Mom needs a knee replacement.  My nsister who doesn't come around, never calls mom, and seems to do and say things all the time to upset her, will prob show up at the hospital sometime throughout this latest ordeal, and act like daughter of the year.  She had words with me and my father last time (at the hospital)
because she didn't feel like she was kept in the loop as far as mom's condition was concerned.  I don't have contact with her at all if I can help it.  I am praying for strength for mom to get through the surgery, and for her and myself to deal with my nsister.

thanks,
Jan

(((((((((Jan)))))))) I'm joining you in prayer for strength and healing for your mom and wisdom, strength, and peace for you, too... that you'll be surrounded with a bubble of love and stability and no weapons formed against you will prosper, in Christ Jesus.

Jan, I am getting ready to attend church.  I will pray for you and your mom.  I will pray for her strength, courage, and success in the operation.  Let her know she will be hugged, loved and thought of on Tuesday during her surgery and her recovery.

Oh so the surgery revolves around the n sister and not your mom?  How typical!  Prayers to you!

Dear Jan,

Have thought of you and wondered how you were.  Please know that your mom will be in my prayers, and yourself, also.

My sincere empathy and understanding with regard to the angst of your sister, from my own personal life experience with my sister.  Sadly, the behavior is true to form.

Wishing peace for your heart.

Love, Leah

Thanks for all of the kind encouraging words.  I run back to these boards everytime I know that I will be going through a difficult time because of n.  It really helps me to get through the tough times to hear from others than can definitely relate and no how n's are first hand.  Nobody else could ever realize just how TRULY HARD it is to deal with these people on a daily basis....Their rage does not discriminate because of age...  my n sister has both verbally attacked our mother (74 years old) and has also verbally attacked my 9year old son.. It doesn't matter.   But one thing for sure, somehow they always come out of it looking like the victim...
Thanks again,

Jan
