Glutton for punishment
« on: March 08, 2008, 01:43:30 PM »
My store is next door to a plastic surgeon.  The staff comes in for lunch and I have befriended some of them.  One told me she was sure I could get my upper eyelids done because insurance would pay for it.  So yes they said for it and I how my upper and lower eyelids done yesterday!  I look as though I got in a fist fight.  The first IV did not work so my blood pressure went through the roof!  But I am fine and in a couple weeks I should look younger!

Oh Kelly,
I guess the saying,"no pain, no gain" applies here(lol) You are SO brave about medical things! I can't wait for you to tell us how you look and if you are happy with it.   Love   Ami

Well I have to admit that I was a bit scared after getting put under twice in six months.  I should look pretty awake when everything is said and done.  Right now I look pretty awful.

Good for you Kelly.  You clearly are doing some wonderful things to take care of yourself.  I think the long list of things you have done for yourself are all preface for the work your are going to do in terms of taking care of yourself with your relationship with your mother.

Your surgeries are just paving the way for the really tough battle.  I think you are shoring up your self-esteem by doing somethings to make you feel better about yourself, all the while, getting stronger and stronger to face up to that old N.  You go girl.

Yes thank you.  I was afraid I was grasping at anything to help me.  I have this calm about me all the while my eyes are oozing.  I have applied for four jobs although I hope they do not call me in soon cuz I look like hell.  I will be very happy to do whatever is next for me.
