Well She got married quickly and now is P.  People will wonder but it looks like a honeymoon baby.

Aww... people are gonna wonder no matter what. That's just the nature of small minds. I just hope that sort of nonsense doesn't get to the new parents and disrupt their joy! These are precious times for them and for you, and y'all should be able to just soak it up and not have to deal with other peoples' baloney.

Best wishes!
Carolyn

Well so it is, a honeymoon baby!  As she married many weeks ago now, and in any case, it is of no consequence to anyone, none at all.  Sadly, small minded blinkered people have nowt else to do, apparently, as they thrive on their inner game of "Assumption"

Personally, I am so excited and happy for you, Kelly, truly I am, and look forward to hearing the progress of your first grandchild.  Gosh, you must be so proud and bubbling with excitement.  A new life, is such a precious gift.

(((((((( Kelly ))))))))   "congratulations"

Thank  you all!  I remember whe she was born she was the first girl in our family in 26 Years-plus she was a blonde and both my ex and I are brunettes!  She was quite a princess.  I was 27 When I had her.  She was a college cheerleader and I have always lived vicariously through her.  Now she wants ME in the delivery room!  We decided what I lacked in  parenting was made up for by my loving them.  She knows I will rub her while she is in labor!  She found a good man and will be married 75 Years!

Oh Kelly - that is such an honor to be asked to be with her in the delivery room!  How awesome.  Good love - that's what it's all about isn't it?

:D Kelly, that is so awesome!  :D  What an honor... and a blessing!
I soooo much wish that I could be there with my little girl, but it's impossible, with so many miles between us.

My mother was with me in the midst of my first childbirth, complete with awful back labor  :?, but trying to get that rub was like pulling teeth. You are a super duper Mom!!

Carolyn

Oh Kelly – congratulations.  How wonderful!

I had a bit of a giggle – my MIL became a great-grandmother 6 or so years ago.  She is a wonderful woman, but had a bit of a problem with being a great.  She didn’t want us to tell anyone – according to her she was just a grandmother once removed (hehe).  Made me wonder how your mom is taking the news?

I think it says a lot about your relationship with your daughter that she wants you in the delivery room.  My mother wanted to be in the delivery room with me – and there was no way in h***l that I wanted her there.  (I had visions of my having to mop her brow while I was in labor – oiy.)

It is a wonderful testament to your relationship with your daughter that she wants you there!

Way to go!

Peace

PS:  This is off-topic, but I read about a procedure the other day and thought of you.  It is for heavy uterine bleeding, but does not require a hysterectomy.  It is called endometrial ablation.  It is an office procedure and apparently can either eliminate periods entirely or make them very light.  It might help with the pain.  Might not affect the PMS – that is largely driven by the hormones, which are influenced by the ovaries.  The only other downside is that conception can still occur.  If you have your tubes tied it wouldn’t be applicable, but if not, conception can occur, but implantation will not occur because the endometrial lining is gone.  If you google endometrial ablation there is a lot of information out there – there are also some support sites where you can talk to women who have had it done.

It is all good except the woman who is putting the breaks on her aging cannot stop being a great grandma-what is cooler is that my gram will be a great great grandma!  I need that ablation Thing.  I had Some pain odds left over and used them through the pain of my period.  I could get addicted and I plan on asking my doc for something to help me with my pain!
