Some sound advice imparted to me 2 weeks ago
« on: October 09, 2007, 04:58:31 PM »
Someone spoke to me two weeks ago with the following advice ...

"Remember, no-one really cares about you and how you are feeling, they are too caught up in their materialistic little world to even bother thinking about you"

"Every day you get out of bed, tell yourself that you are going to take a stand on the piece of world that belongs to you as an unique individual who has a place and a purpose to fulfil"

This lady is a work related associate who I have never entered into any real conversation with on a personal level.

"Give yourself a treat because you are worth it"

I stood there flabbergasted, thinking, Wow!  give this woman a podium!

Driving back home was like wafting on air - with a smile!

Bless you all,

Leah xx

This puts me in mind of how simple life could be if we each understand that we are but one grain of sand on the beach of life. That one grain of sand is all we need to care for and all the other grains look after themselves.

Then we have a lovely sandy beach.

If everyone followed the Golden Rule, Life would be much more simple and easy.

Maybe we can send all the present Ns to Ellis Island or wherever, then watch everything smooth over.

Love
Izzy

Hi Izzy,

My sentiments exactly, and you know, life could be so much more simple and easy.

Would be wonderful for us to live on a 'N-Free' Island - someplace warm and sunny.

Could we stock the surrounding waters with gators?

Leah, I like that lady's advice... thanks for sharing it!

Another one... we're trading every day, every moment of our lives for something - let's make sure it's something worthwhile
(not N-rubbish!).

And my personal favorite:  The only ground the devil can't take is the ground I'm (you're) standing on.

Feel better soon, Leah...

With love,
Carolyn

Today, I am reminding myself of all lessons learned, with a grateful heart.
