Opening the blinds and cleaning out!
« on: April 25, 2008, 09:00:42 AM »
Today I mindfully begin editing our clothing and posessions.....

passing things on to people who'll appreciate and use what we've been putting away and outgrowing.

Today I create clear clean sacred closet and floor space.

AH! That makes me feel good, too

Like a brand new start, and I had things that I couldn't pass on, but went into garbage bags. It felt like throwing out old useless memories that weren't meant to be in my mind's space, just as articles didn't need to be in my closet, both taking up space for new memories and articles.

I find it the same with cleaning drawer space.

I've filled two large yard bags with clothing to pass down.

And that's just the children's clothes and toys.

My room next: )

My next youngest sister had her first baby (Aug 20/63) 9 months before mine (May 13/64) and her second 9 months after (Feb 20/65)

When I was preganant she sent her maternity clothes to me, then I returned them..... for her next pregancy and the same with baby clothes, then little girl clothes, but they always ended up at her place.

That was fun--taking pictures and seeing them on different kids....................... all in a periods of 18 months.

SO hard to hand down the really cherished children's clothing.... but I managed with most of it.

You're right about seeing it and touching it on the cousins..... very nice.

I borrowed every piece of maternity clothing from my sister and SIL, btw.

We were the pregnant women in black, for 5 babies.

Just before I finished up the girl's clothes.... my 5yo asked to be held.

She had the kitty in her lap and fell asleep like that.

The three of us together.

A nap in the sunshine....

 with my littlest one.

I can finish the clothes tomorrow.
