Good book for all women .. and men who wish to be enlightened

I quickly flipped through "Fat is A Feminist Issue" last night, trying to find that bit about women's role as mother et al being the basis for women's lib.

I couldn't find what I remembered -- BUT -- she does an outstanding job of explaining women's roles and conflicts as formed from societal pressures.

There are many, many excellent passages about the roles and conflicts of mothers and daughters, and much about how mothers end up foisting various needs and conflicts onto their daughters.

It's a really, really enlightening read -- forget about weight issues. It's just a good book.
