N mother inlaw

my fiance's mother wants us to brake up because she thinks he at 27 is not ready to get married. she does not let me attend family events . she gets upset if my boyfriend compliments me. if he does not return her calls she will call me and asks about him. she makes him feel like a bad son for not listening to her. she wants him to change his therapist and go to her therapist. should I brake up with him?

Dori, what does your boyfriend think about all this? Does he do what his mother wants him to do, even if it conflicts with what he wants?

You should do what is right for you and also what you want to do.

Your boyfriend isn't ready to get married if he lets his mother dictate this much to him. I'm sorry.
