Farfaraway

Dear Farfaraway,

I am very glad you took that breath and began to write.

What a lot of anguish is packed into that long paragraph.
What courage it took to get it all written down.

GOOD FOR YOU.

Human cruelty is beyond comprehension. I am so sorry you
experienced so much of it. What child deserves that? NONE.

At age four, someone very deep inside you took a deep breath and...held it,
for all those years.

And here she is. Speaking.

What bravery. You are breathing again, finding your voice.

With wonder and respect,

Hops

Farfaraway,

My heart is weeping for you.

Your strength to be here with your words of truth is inspiring and humbling.

I'm lost for words to express how repulsed I am by your abusers.

You are valued and I am thankful you are here.     With care and concern, seasons      ((Farfaraway))

You have no idea, how that makes me feel.  I feel like I am a part of something special, like I belong somewhere.  I have been over it and over it again, trying to find my identity, I am still not sure at times if I am good or bad, it is so tiring just trying to fit in, into the world.  Thank you for being so compassionate and caring, I know that it does something to me.  Thanks so much, seasons and Hopalong!!  Hugs right back!

Dear Farfarway
I know that feeling of not knowing IF you are percieving things "right". That happened to me b/c I lost my inner connection to myself.  I had to look outside of myself for "cues" on how to act.
I want to find that inner connection again so badly. That is my quest.
I am so glad that you are on the Board and you DO fit here!      Love   Ami

I belong somewhere.

You sure do.

And not just here...wherever you are.

You belong in this world.

You deserve the air you breathe, the beauty you see around you, every sweet sound that catches your ear.

You deserve to heal (and you are, and you will even more).

You deserve to rest peacefully, to rise again.

It will work.

Dear Farfaraway
It is interesting that you talk about belonging.I think we don't belong to ourselves but we put it outside ourselves by trying to belong to people. It never works b/c it is unworkable.
N parents mirrored a "bad" self to us. We think we ARE bad so we have to hide, hide, hide so no one sees our true self and shames us again. We have so much shame that we can't take any more.
It is HORRIBLE, a prison we take on our backs. We cannot leave the prison b/c it is made up of all the distortions we were fed as children, as if we were cult members.
I AM getting better. There is hope. Keep sharing your heart. You will find that it isn't dark but just human .
I am  glad you are here. You are a blessing to us.   Love  Ami

PS You can ask anyone here. I was talking about being "bad" for years.
