Mindfulness and codependence thread

Your genuine concern is touching, dear ones. I woke up wobbly, but no longer nauseous, thank God. From there, plenty of water then rest had me feeling almost normal. There's a walking askew or falling sideways, regular, but manageable. No spinning.,..just a fuzzy brain/body connection.
My brother brought up blood pressure and that sent me straight to CVS where they didn't have a machine.
Pharmacist suggested uneven pressure in ears could cause vertigo. I've certainly had allergies and snorfully nose, but ....I bought a $45 bp cuff and we t home to scare the b jeezus out of myself. Always had normal BP.....First check was 54 over 85....second shot up, bc.....holy cow. Hypertension, second stage.
If it's a combination of things, it certainly involves BP. Will see if my GP found some where to practice. Her office was in a destroyed area near the river.
I'm meditating my arse off, back on vit D, B12, Hawthorne supplement and, most of all, taking things very gently.....staying hydrated.....leaving salt alone.
How are you guys dealing with BP issues?

ENT appt next week.

No experience of BP issues, Lighter, but your self care regime sounds like it would benefit pretty much any situation so I say thumbs up to that. Hope you can see GP for proper check sooner rather than later - am aware that anxiety associated with medical issues can cause blood pressure readings to shoot up (called White Coat Syndrome here). So hoping a proper medical assessment will be useful. As far as I know, blood pressure issues are relatively straight forward to treat in most cases so hopefully whatever is going on getting on top of it will be manageable. Crossing fingers that everything starts to get a bit easier soon xx

From my no-sugar-at-all-ever stance I've moved to a tsp or two of local honey in my tea mornings. And the other night I was feeling like a dish drainer and a glass of kefir with maple syrup is as heavenly as I remembered.
Seems I need a little glucose boost daily to keep it more stable, and these seem to be helping. I'll never forget the BP 60/40 day I was banished from the gym, because before that I just thought it was "my normal." As I get older, can be dangerous.
I don't know whether magnesium glycinate affects low BP, but it's helping a lot anyway. The RLS (acute restless legs syndrome for decades, which I always blamed on the back injury) has nearly vanished to a large degree. A shocking change that came on fast.
Let us know how your BP is doing and never forget to drink a tall glass of water every two hours at a minimum, or every hour if you can keep it up.

Couple things with BP readings. It's gonna take the machine a couple times before it calibrates to you. It may also read differently than any other machine... so think more of a range with those numbers. It is usually recommended to take readings in the morning, just after waking up BEFORE coffee, for the best accuracy.
Lots of things can affect BP, including anxiety, kidney issues, and just normal stress. Physical work and exercise are often enough to balance out anxiety & stress. Diet and hydration can help some kidney issues. Make sure you're getting enough electrolytes. I have a homemade "elixir" recipe for rehydration drink, if ya want it. Even tastes decent!
You've been pushing the bar upwards for a few years now, with your rentals. You're still actively mothering a good bit. And now the impacts of the storm all around you... you might consider some peaceful "me time" retreat or vacation time at the island to relax, recharge, refresh your energy. Quiet time, not a lot of people.

I take that elixir recipe, Amber and I've blocked off some island time ....only winter months for me, thanks. The BP cuff is all over the place.....always high. Showing normal readings for DD22, however.
Hops, I use Monk Fruit sweetener, mostly, but it's been a sad chapter for prescriptive eating. Not gonna lie.
Tupp..... I need to be more active. DD22 thinking about committing to martial arts time with me. That would make my heart so happy to pass along what I consider necessary skills. Will see about those bands....I was a puky carsick kid. Nice to skip the anti nausea meds when necessary.
Thanks for all the input, guys.
