Hello....
« on: December 26, 2005, 04:25:04 PM »
Hello all

I hope you all had a fabulous and peaceful day yesterday.  Ours was the best ever... me and my husband, chilling out, eating lots and just spending time together.

After a few drinks, my and my husband were chatting... and I was saying that if I'd had a normal family, I might have been worse.  Do you know what he said... well, if things had been different, you might have ended up somewhere else and never met me, that would have been worse!

What a fantastic guy hey!  I'm so blessed.

Just wanted to share.... How was your Christmas day?

Lots of love

H&H xx

Hi H&H,
That sounds wonderful and peaceful.  I'm glad you have and appreciate your guy.
But what did you mean by 'would have been worse'?

H&H,
I'm so happy that you and your hubby had a lovely day together yesterday.  My Christmas was also wonderful.  My kids and bf's kids were with their other parents on Christmas Eve, so we spent that evening together.  I cooked a lovely dinner (for those of you who are relatively new here, cooking is my thing) and we sipped wine in front of the fire, then . . .

The kids came home late yesterday morning and we had a great day together.  We went to see "The Family Stone."  I cried through much of it and really loved it.  It was about the family I always dreamed of having.  I highly recommend it--but bring your tissues.

Hey Mom! What are you thinking! You got all cosy with b/f after cooking him some food and then sipped wine on the rug in front of the fire and THEN.... what does "THEN. . . " mean Mom?
Nah, it is not what I am thinking is it? No wonder you evicted the renter and you love cruising in my Mustang . Are you and 'whats his face' going parking tonight? Oh, I forgot, it is snowing where you are.
Just as well you are not down here Mom, in Australia. They get cosy on the beach AND in the surf at NIGHT ! It is hot here and I got some tan happening too.

Ok Mom,just take it easy with B/f and polish the car occasionally too would you? I suppose a few thou$ would be out of the question? I got in a poker game and ..well you know how that goes sometimes.

Bye Mom.

David P -down under and loving it!

Honey, that is probably not an appropriate conversation for a "mother and son" to have--do you think??

I'm glad you are having fun playing in the surf, but maybe you need to improve your poker skills .  A few thou??  Are you nuts??  Mommy is not bailing you out of this one dear--you are on your own.

The mustang is being kept very shiney--we're trying to avoid taking it out in the snow and slush.  But we can't wait for summer.  You're not planning to come and get it are you?

Have a great New Year down under.

Cheers,

Brigid

I meant that I may have ended up a spoilt brat, or anything really.... and he meant it would have been worse if he'd never met me.

H & H,
Your modesty is misplaced. Your hubby (the guy who sits and laughs in his own house...do you know how precious that is?) is a VERRRRRRRY lucky man. So you chaw on your pencils and start loving yourself as much as he does for 2006!

Brigid, I really think David is a chip off the old block, and you really are having vicarious wild thing moments through your son. Sighh. Such a common thing...but soooo understandable. (Let me know if you need recommendations for a good juvenile detention facility...I know it's painful but sometimes mothers have to do tough love.)  :P
