Hi bean  ,I think I am the only other bi polar ,well no REALLYME is bi polar I think.bean , BP is a mood disorder.
Bi polar would have nothing to do with not getting or understanding text.It would have to do with mood swings .
I know write was having that problem (not following text) but BP does not cause that.
And I have trouble with sleep.
BP is a MOOD DISORDER.
What is going on with Write has nothing to do with her mind .If she stopped taking her meds that could make her emotional .
If you are drinking Write thats not good my Doctor told me not to do that to excess,if you are not I am sorry I asked. It is just because of worry.
BP effects emotions, not how intelligent you are.must be hard to be triggered by everyone

bean,  I am sure I can not read Writes mind .Peoples feelings get hurt even if they are not biploar. What other stuff is happening
in Writes life no one knows. Is Write taking her medication ?That is important. But the events ,what happens play a much more
important role than BP are just intense emotions . I my self have a good reason for being cranky.
I DID NOT SLEEP good and I am nervous about ct scan test on Tuesday .
I KNOW I am a big baby I never had one and I get nervous in enclosed places  I AM OK  I am just nervous of the dumb tests it will be OK.

PS WRITE  LET US KNOW HOW YOU ARE !

Maybe it was felt that leaving was just the Write thing to do...that's all.

Everyone caring is wonderful but maybe it was a personal choice...for many reasons.
I must say, I respect the choice to leave quietly and I will wait to see what happens next.

Thank you, Bj.
It's almost like an example of learning to accept "No."

thanks for pointing out the craziness of chasing someone into the ether...

bean all I WANT for any person is what is best for them .I do not think in terms of goals game plan win lose. I GOT
all defensive about BIPOLAR disorder. It was very hard to tell to the board and I AM CRYING AND ASHAMED RIGHT NOW.
ITS SOME THING i need to work on.
moon

ps i did not say it must be" tough" to be triggered by everyone  the word tough is not the kind of language i use
telling the board i was bp was difficult but i trusted i would be understood

Hope nobody minds if I repeat this.
I just thinking that the second form sounds accusatory.
Or maybe I'm just not fond of the verb, "trigger." Hmmm. My problem.
(I'd rather use one of the variety of feeling words on that great list someone posted...so many opions!)

I feel triggered when I read ___

vs.

I am triggered by  [or]  _"you"__ trigger me / "X" triggers me

Geez, Moon, I hope you're not still crying and feeling ashamed, 'cause:
You seem like someone who would be among the first to send good thoughts to anyone else who felt that way,
and you offer so much good vibes and support here despite what you're carrying
and nobody would ever wish that on you

Hope you can reach out for some comfort and hugs,
LoH

PS - tight spaces scare me, too...was gulpy about getting a catscan, but guess what? They played really beautiful soothing music the whole time and the technicians were incredibly gentle and caring and made the whole thing was way easier than I'd have dreamed. I can really see you getting through it just fine, almost like it already happened and is behind you. Peace to your heart today and for Tues., Moon.

HI bean and HOPS , My 27 year old just popped in and she will not put up with my whining, she's went to do her laundry now.A woman my age behaving so badly .But there I did it to me well its like this there is this n father that messed me up I AM WORKING ON IT.Believe me bean I have all the compassion in the world .I can see how you could feel triggered when you read that not so very nice stuff I wrote bean you were a innocent bystander. Then ellipse happened though no fault of your own.I own my own stuff .So you did not need to say sorry.bean what did you have to do with me genetically inheriting BP?I can be wonderful sometimes a pain sometimes just like every body else.I am so sorry.
Oh bean now you are being the kindest ever to say I am supporting you when you know you are the one supporting me.And thank you. I do. Did you know I had a dumb test coming up no.But when I get the results
and they tell me its just nothing to worry about I will be so happy .Sorry to be so jumpy.................................................
Great waves of Kindness and understanding are swirling around moons orbit

Hi Moon,
Who wouldn't be a little jumpy with a CT scan coming up?
You're handling it great. Daughters sometimes can't give adults permission to be vulnerable...in my experience anyway.

It will be good to have it over with, I know!

I like this too, Bean, thank you:
Quote
See, the goal for me isn't to stay away from triggers, or even to stop having the feelings after I'm triggered.  Nope.  It's to react, in appropriate constructive ways.  That creates more harmony for me, and less stress and will be healthier in the long run for me

It's as though wading straight ahead when you feel roiled up by something but detaching from the roiled up part and continuing to think...maybe it's practice. Practice in underreacting or in detaching some from emotion. I like that....off on my own tangent now, but your thought helped: Noticing when I'm reacting emotionally but not believing my own drama...staying in the play but remembering it's a human play, there's action offstage, there's a script, there will soon be arias, it's all okay.

I like what you said too, Jac, it's helpful: "The issue is in you and must be dealt with there."

HI All . This thread has been a lesson. One lesson being ,thinking I know what anyone else is thinking.Just because bean said something about WRITE's Bipolar there I am off to the races .I was all paranoid
thinking no one understands bp,I am so different then that leads to all the other different stuff like having a really weird different n-father and family of origin messed up and all the feelings of being different .
What is that called being afraid or paranoid?Or what Whatever ever I think this is a good one to understand for me .I am getting closer and when I fully get a handle on it which  I am.Its good. Its a very important
for me to learn not taking offense when none is meant. SORRY BEAN ...........................I really am ...........truly
But gift within problem I see what I DID bean I see what happened.I am not crying or ashamed just grateful to be understanding thanks bean
I am understanding so much more and feel stronger
ALSO we all want write to let us know how shes doing when shes ready
