A flying fluttering finger-flapping ahole is excellent diversion
from my interminable tale of woe....and just as well!   

I've been practicing too, Mud.
We could offer it as a secret signal for the VES board...

so when we pass each other on sidewalks wearing fedoras in strange capitals,
getting ready to smuggle escapees-from-Ns across some border or other,
we can do the FA signal and keep the underground railroad going...

Afternoon, Mud and Hops,

Please, go right ahead and share the wealth. My Mom's generous with everything, including her crassness. I think she'd like the idea of folks keeping the ol' FA alive. Now that Kong's off the island, so to speak, we don't use it in the family anymore, though my H. and I dust it off occasionally in FA company. Mom's a hat person, too, so I think she'd really dig the Fedora picture. 'Tis a good one, Hops!

 

P.S. - Re. the visit, Hops, for what it's worth, my Mom would echo Sugarre's good advice, with the addendum, And if that's not good enough, he can pound sand. (Anyone pokes at Mom and she says, Go sh*& in your hat! ...though not the Fedoras, she'd like you two.)

Oh honey.... what a draining time you've got a head of you.  At least it is only Saturday to Tuesday, and to keep busy maybe by saying something like you'd like to give them space because they don't see each other very often?  Think they would want to make the most of their time together....

You can get through this, I know you can dear sweet hoppy hops.

I do that with work too.... and housework (think about me saying how much I had to do and I was posting on here)... but I think sometimes we just need our own time out.

I can relate to how it feels to be nice and kind and watch what you say so you don't rock the boat.... continously biting your tongue, but it will only be a few days.

Thanks, you kind H&H--I do feel MUCH better since I spewed anxiety all over the board all day yesterday!
I am pretty calm, got caught up on my work, and am looking forward to a nice snuggly evening with Me, Myself and I, and a DVD.

This pond can float somebody who's slipping even when there are rapids to contend with. I love it.

And I'm grateful, everybody!

I meant to reply to you here ages ago, but lost the thread. Might even say unraveled.

Just wanted to tell you how very much I appreciate your sense of humor. imho, if that wasn't nurtured in your family, a planted crop, it's even more remarkable that you chose to grow it in yourself, with such warm and goofy results.

We wouldn't  half as much here without your fine sense of the ridiculous and storytelling. Thanks for bein' Hoppy, in every sense.
