You are so awesome to have asked for help. I tried to control everything myself for soooooooo long. We weren't allowed to show weakness. I am teaching my children that asking for help is a GOOD thing. In fact, yesterday after school my son told me a counselor was available at school to talk to those whose dads are in Iraq. He asked if he could go. I told him, of course, that the service was there for him and that if he ever felt in need of help he needn't ask permission.
We were taught not to trust counselors (they are all idiots with lame degrees according to my parents).
Thanks for sharing a painful memory.
Love, Beth
