When my ex and my friend are in the same room it's interesting to sit back and focus on the energy levels around their competetive conversation: I use the word conversation loosely because often they are just talkign at each other and there's little other interaction!

I owe her how pretty it is, where I put it, how she gave them to her neighbors also and I should feel good I received one too. Oh well, same ole same ole.

it's sort-of an exercise in self-discipline isn't it! Like a 'maitri' meditation, it can only make you stronger to give people their 'dues'!

they are both very conscious of how loving they look to outside people

I think a lot of people are like this when they know they are neither giving or receiving love and are uncomfortable with doing so freely.

"I'm not that bad after all." ...I am real they are not

you are wonderful! 'Authentic' as Ms Simple Abundance Sarah Breathnach would say.

Thanks for letting me dust off my day with them.

thanks for sharing!
