What about e-mail seasons?  That gives you control over when and how long.  Would that work for Alice and Teri? - GS

I know this is blasphemy.

I wonder if one day soon you could say when she calls,
"I'm really not up for daily calls. I have too much going on to check in that often.

I'd be happy to hear from you about once a month...oh, gotta go!"
