Happy Valentine's Day friends
« on: February 14, 2007, 05:20:08 PM »
Happy Valentine's to everyone here.

Until I became I mother this was a day I could do without.  Now I love Valentine's Day and all the silly things that little children love about it.  My precious child and I made adorable Valentine's for his class and this this afternoon we had 6 children over for a small party.  Celebrating in small ways is life changing for me.  It is a way of jumping back in and saying yes to the world.

I don't mind so much the absense of romance today.  I am thankful that I am saying yes to life and embracing a wonderful new life ahead.  That's romance enough just not the normal version.

Thanks to all of you and several who are here no more. - your friend - Gaining Strength

Happy VD to you all, too!  Funny, I only give Valentine's to my husband but my children and mother gave one to me......I enjoy making them for my daughter's class.......

What I loved most about it was that I never thought about it all day. No pain, not a twinge. Just a day, it was, and I was cheerful and upbeat, all day long.

This is progress, trust me!

Happy Valentine's, everybody!

I have a card on my desk from my adorable daughter that says "Dear Mom I love you alweys fit in my heart Love Pece Kiss." She wrapped up one for everyone in the family in a shoebox and waited for three days to give them to us, dancing around and reminding us that Valentine's morning we would get to open them!!! OK, I am getting teary (A bit emotional I am this week).

I got a card from my daughter for Valentines Day and it says

I love you mom and I am so proud of the changes you are making in your life as you move forward.

I love that and I would like to wish that to all the lovely new people I have met here.

I am so proud of all the courageous changes you have made. Lots of love,
