Oh, yes, I will remember these faces easily.  Every one of them has made a happy impression on me.

About radio people--we have a "morning team" near here where the female airs her marriage troubles every day as part of the show.  In fact, last year she and her husband were on 20/20 after having let the cameras into their home for three weeks.  It was so enlightening in many ways.

I listen to them regularly at work and had often thought, boy, if I was married to her I'd give her grief as well.  Then "meeting" her husband on TV, after only hearing him call into the show everyday, changed my mind about that.  Then I thought, wow, they deserve each other!!!

The funniest thing was how she had sold herself on the show as being, well, "hot" I would have to say.  And on TV she was not!  She was pretty average.  She looked like a middle-aged woman who hadn't changed her looks much since high school (sort of like me   ).  In fact, the day after 20/20, someone called into the radio show and said, You have got to do something with your eyebrows!  And she had no idea what the caller was talking about.  Apparently her eyebrows are perfect just the way they are.  But, they really aren't!!!  Quite dated and unflattering.  But she kind of just blew it off.  If that had been me on TV looking not so great, and then someone called me the next day and basically told me I didn't look so great, I would have been hurt.  Not that one, though.  She just went back into her typical "I am fine the way I am" mode.

I think this particular radio morning team is fairly self-absorbed....

I relate to the "Expecting my kids to look one way and having them look another" thing.  When my first daughter was born and she was a blonde a gal at church thought we had adopted her.  And then my second daughter came out and looked nothing like the first.  And I do not think she looks like me but apparently some of you do.  And you thought I would be plain and conservative, huh?  Try seeing me with spiked blue hair and very dark make up in the early 80s!

Sorry I'm not posting guys...I'm very eager to, but must wait for the new laptop.
Just grabbing a stolen minute at work to say I'm reading while I eat lunch and keeping mental track...

Sending a lot of love to all of you. Support and caring to each and everyone.

Taking down my pic for now but benevolently beaming...

love,
Hops
PS--I DID have the horrible realization that it was good to be computerless because (hold your breath, GS)...after a few days of twitchy computer withdrawal I found myself getting up in the early a.ms., tackling the piles of disorder a bit at a time (also making myself go to sleep earlier), and, drumroll...

My paperwork, and my mother's, is ALL CAUGHT UP. And it's in the FILES, with correct LABELS. And I have taken a vow to open every envelope every day and deal with it iin some way mmediately. No matter what. So, I've decided I am no longer allowed to have my laptop on my bed, because I've been whiling away evening doing that and TV, and who knew, I actually can function in the evenings to organize my life. I'm kind of stunned.

Other thing, a huge factor...I've been taking a supplement called SAM-e in addition to the Cymbalta for a few weeks and my back pain is so much better I can't believe it. I'm a bit sore but no longer in agony most days when I get home (which makes evening tidying-up a lot easier)..

enough from me, but I'll be "seeing" y'all soon.

Wow Hops.  I can't believe you are caught up with all the paperwork.  Your triumph gives me hope.  I'm celebrating.  I'm also ecstatic about the news concerning your back pain.  Loads of good news from you - so encouraging.

ReallyMe - several of us went to Webshots and opened an account and uploaded photos.  Once that is done there are instructions on the Webshots page about how to "send to a forum".  It is fairly easy. - GS
