"Technical Support", please
« on: April 19, 2007, 09:35:35 AM »
To Anyone,

Getting ready to go out- will be glad to get back to read the board-  but I was wondering what I did wrong when I tried to use the quotes.  I do ok with the bold and underline.  Could anyone tell me if there's a difference in using this feature? I tried once and the space came up purple, but blank. It looked like it was going to work when I previewed, but as I mentioned, on the board, it came up purple and blank.

Thanks,

cats paw

To use this quote, I read your message, then clicked on the word QUOTE on your message and up popped this message window. Then I am typing.

When I hit Send, your message will be quoted above my typing. If you want to quote only one line of what someone else had posted, then hit the QUOTE on their message and when you see it in your new message window just seledt & delete the parts you DON"T want in the  quote and carry on typing your message-- note that the quote is opened with [ quote] and closed with [ /quote]

Anymore problems, please ask.
Izzy

Izzy,

Just wanted to say thanks, and I'll try it again some time using this thread as a practice area.  Glad to see you posting again about the work you're doing with your therapist.

If it's ok with you, I may ask you again for "tech support"

Hey Izzy!!!

Thanks for the encouragement- I just tried it, and I'll hit post in a second.  What I did the first time was try to go up in the icon section when I was already writing a reply and I muffed it that way.

I've heard people say just click away when you're trying to find out how stuff works on a computer- but!   When I first started posting, I clicked on that little report to the moderator thing, just curious to see what would come up, but nothing did.  I don't even know if it was my own post or someone else's, but a few minutes later I realized that it must have been an automatic one step thing.

I realized that if it was an auto thing, nothing would come of it if it was reported or reviewed or whatever is done.  At least it wasn't like that child that the news reported as ordering up stuff on EBay by hitting buttons!

BTW
"Report to Moderator"

..............goes to Dr. Grossman if someone does not like the filthy words, or it's spam, or it is an online disagreement of immense proportions.

As you said, he will see it and see nothing is wrong, and will ignore it.
