Hi, Hops,

I know that today is the day your daughter is coming in.  Just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. 

Think of us in the background, cheering you on!  (I have used that technique, many times!) 

Don't forget to set boundaries.  Don't let her be rude to you.  Remove yourself from the conversation, if you need to.

Here's hoping that none of those reminders are even necessary.  That she walks in the door, sunny and ready for a fun week.
