I took a new apartment!
« on: August 02, 2007, 11:36:47 PM »
it's organised for September 8, so that will give me a less-stress 3 weeks to move.

It's cheaper, so I can afford it without pressure, even if I decide to do the course at Goddard.

And it's close to ex's place which means less driving to see son, which is every day!

I will only have one part of a neighbouring property touching my bedroom so it should be much better for sleep, and it's ina  quiet suburb which I already know well.

Feel much better to have another problem sorted....

 :D

Yay, Write!  I hope this is the perfect nest for you!

As you look into Goddard, will you post what you find?  I am so interested in their philosophy of education.  It would be exciting to see someone I know pursue that.

::Rolling around in bed, thinking about doing the happy dance::

So glad planning a move seemed to work out for ya.

Less pressure and driving are good things.

Taking the course at Goddard without struggling is a good thing.

Ok, awake enough to give ya an official... WOO HOO!

Happy for ya ((Write))

Thanks everyone.

Good luck with sellign your house Spyrelle.

I'll let y'all know when I've talked to the people at Goddard and done more research. the cost is $6000 to $7000 and there are two two week residence parts to the courses.
I called for a brochure detailing their courses but I haven't talked to the administrator yet http://www.goddard.edu/
It looks perfect for me; thanks for suggesting it Hops and C

I am still a little paranoid though, when I went to sign my lease there was some frisson of something going on between the staff, and I had to tell myself it was almost certainly nothign to do with me!

I fell asleep this afternoon for two hours. The neighbours woke me at 2 am last night...can't wait to leave them behind.

Family visit went well, they left today.

We did talk more about religion and my illness and our shared history as the week went on, but I paid a lot of attention to the mood and when things were getting intense tried to lighten up.

Ex and son are very happy, they are chatting away downstairs!

All is okay  :)

I don't have any houseplants, but the little balcony garden is doing well, my $5 ferns are huge now and even the petunia which I was going to throw away resprouted and looks lovely again!

I sit out there a few minutes first thing each day.

In my new place I'll be looking down into palm trees and a crepe myrtle too!
