Gift for CB
« on: September 22, 2007, 05:51:19 PM »
Sometimes, some people just fall into your awareness like grace.
CB, you are one of those people to me.

I have always thrilled to intelligence, but what hit me today is it's not just being smart (the big world and this little world are full of smart people), but what kind of smart. I learn something valuable from your tone, your thinking, every time I read a post.

I am learning just as much from your capacity for joy as I do from your articulation of pain. That's what I realized. You have an emotional intelligence that is vibrant and full of light and you have built the capacity for joy. After 30 years of oppression.

So you take joy in food prep, in the sights of new vegetables, the aromas of food, the rhythms of work with your hands.

You took joy in telling us about moments of pure happiness in your new, post-N life, and you described them with such rich and evocative sensory detail that I felt like Lupita waltzing through the market with you and your friend. You are a graceful, intuitive writer. That is a voice!

Even more, it's a tone of voice. You have a clear tone like a chime.
That's what I meant on the other thread by you're brilliant.

love

I agree. CB has the words to express what many of us cannot. Verbal skills, are so important. Communicate. CB has a natural talent to do it.
Others have to work on it very hard. She just got it. It is parietal, temporal and frontal lobes where communication skills are.

I have been inching my hours up at work and am getting close to a 40 hour week.  I feel like a weenie to be seeing that as a big accomplishment.

It is a BIG accomplishment CB and I agree with the sentiments of this post.  I am so proud of you and what you have accomplished in the few short months that you have been here.  I am thankful too because it gives me hope and hope is like gold on this road toward a fulfilling life.

thank you, Strength.

You have been around the barn with me several times.  You know how amazing it is that I am standing in this place.

I can't think of anything that I want more than to encourage you that it will get better--that where we have been for so long is not where we will be forever.

Much love,
CB

CB,

I feel your joy!  Heaven on earth being surrounded by your very own.  I hope there are many, many more just as magical.  And I know there will be.

That's muy cool, senorita.

How about I take you to Paris one day (free lodging!)
and you take me to Mexico?

The second half, well okay, last third, of life sure has its gifts.

Wow... CB, there you are, lol!

You've been busy reaching out and accepting the milk of human kindness while expanding your horizons and working towards that degree in a meaningful life enhancing all around way, lol.

::big intake of breath::

What a great post.  Warms the cockles of my heart and renews the belief in human nature as inherently a good thing.

So.... are you going to have a book and a lesson plan.... or are ya just wingin it with good food and an immersion plan?

CB,

I know that you are well aware how much I think of you, but I just wanted to take the opportunity to say it again by bumping up this post, and echo Hops' beautiful words.

Wow wow wowser, CB.....

I know I'd feel the same way about receiving all that attention and help and.....

you just have to know that you'll help him back, as you can, and accept.

So glad you're embracing all this time outside your comfort level as a learning experience.
I'm thinking it will be just that for you too, just as you say... ((CB))

::sigh::  I can hardly go to a friends house for coffee without bringing a bunch of food and coffee.... I don't want to be seen as needy..... I don't want to..... to..... all the things you're dealing with, will be dealing with.... I understand and I'm terribly uncomfortable for you.

Thanks for sharing the lessons here.... I'm covering my mouth tightly with hard little fingers between typing.... that's how tense I am for you.

Keep us updated and NO SLACKING!

ps  When I visited Scandanavian countries.... the women were almost childlike in their freindliness.... they're openess, compared to US women.  I liked it, but it was like diving down the rabbit hole, so different it was.

I guess you're heading down the rabbit hole too, lol.

Hops..... off sugar, huh?

So... that leaves out the Starbucks Ice Cream..... comfort food of choice.

Hmmmmm..... Well then..... how bout them nummie grilled bagel samiches.... bacon and egg OK?.... from Steak and Shake?   You can have snausage, (read that as unnaccetable mystery meat in my book ) cheese, and I'm sure a few other choices I never get to on the board cause I never get that far past egg and bacon, lol.

Fresh rasberries and strawberries.....

Crunchy munchie, ya'll, those sandwiches are sooooo chewy and good, mmm.

Well, my hypnosis work has taken away the taste for sugar and also fatty and friend foods.
And I'm 80% vegetarian (ovo-lactor-fisho-vegetarian...dunno if "fisho" is the term). So no bacon fer me.

So. I'll have ersatz Canadian soy-bacon on decholesterolized eggs on half a bagel, toasted not grilled, but we can add a slice of tomato and a few slivers of avocado for decadence and I'll be blooming.

Reminds me it's nearly noon, no breakfast. Slept 3 hours last night and feel like something that grows under a rock. I will be off to my natural PB on whole-grain bakery bread breakfast, with clove and orange tea. Yum.

xo, may ramble off and on here today because I feel rode hard and put up wet...not in a marketing mood.
