Hey Mistress Lighter- need garb adornments
« on: October 08, 2007, 10:55:31 AM »
Hi Lighter,

I just wanted to say I need some wardrobe additions.  I need to add some adorments fashioned from the ruby slippers, because I'm beginning to remember that the power has been within me from the beginning.  I knew this about 12 years back, but forgot it again.  I'm also learning that pehaps my greatest weaknessness are also what can be my greatest strengths, if I remember to use them that way.

I'm going to use my boots to go kick my day's a--, will return later to see what sparkly ruby red touches you add.

It's funny..... it's so easy to see the power within other's but not ourselves.

Then we catch a glimpse and it seems so obviouse, lol.

Time to prepare new Ruby Slipper inspired boot decor for Cats Paw... HEY!  Where'ya been? and plan a boot adornment ceremony.

It'll take a few days to plan and fabricate so..... we'll build the fire and celebrate the new addition when the fall wind blows back this way: )

Any input will be considered.... but I get final design say: )

Dear Cat,
I was thinking about the ruby slippers today.
Today I saw how "sick" my F is .. I guess that I could not face it before. He was wonderful compared to my M.
Today,as he was talking to me, I saw that there was no one " home",in a way..
I am fortunate that I can see the truth,now..
This is why I "lost my mind"( or forced it to go in to hiding.) No one was 'home' in my house, Now, I know more than ever that my grandmother saved my life.
I feel like a balloon that was blown up and is now deflating. I was holding on to ideas that were not 'true" like my F was O.K.
He is not O.K. and never was. His thinking is not right.
I was the one with the ruby slippers all along( the right core). I had the right perceptions.
My intuition CAN be trusted. My perceptions CAN be trusted. These are the ruby slippers. My mind was always "right".
Any close friend that I have ever had has said,"You have really good sense..."Even a  former  b/f (undercover cop) used to say,"You have very good perceptions   . You just don't trust yourself."( He was the most "street smart" person I ever met ).I think back on these conversations. I really did have sense. I was just "taught" that I had no sense b/c there  were  N  standards. Now, I see that my F either "lost" his sense or never had any. to begin with.
. Maria always tells me,"There is nothing wrong with you." My kids tell me this all the time. They ask me for advice on work, girlfriends, fraternity life etc.
So, I see that the most precious thing in life-- my mind and my core were always all right. I always had the ruby slippers and I could always go home. I just want to cry from pain and joy  .   Love   Ami

lighter,

I have a design in mind.  How about a diamond quilting of ruby red into the fur, starting approx. ankle height, continuing up but leaving a rim of fur at the top? Plus a little string bow in front, at the top, continuing from the quilting, under the kitties' chins?

Ami,

I wonder how your former b/f would steer and encourage you to live with the knowledge you have gleaned?  What do you think he would say if you were telling him about your family, in addition to trusting yourself?  It sounds like he was very important to you.

Short update-  my H was on vacation, and we made a trip to TN to see my dad. He was ill this summer, so I was much relieved to see with my own eyes that he looks pretty good physically.  He is depressed, however, and is resisting meds. He was a strong healthy man before he fell ill, so I know it's been a lot for him to deal with.
His wife (I don't call her my step-mother, because she's  only about ten years older than me and is a friend but not a mother figure, thank goodness) has really found herself again through all of this.  Long story- a lot of it has to do with my brother.

My mother is difficult as usual, but as I have mentioned, is very ill.  I still need to come back and write on my other thread.  I think I've been avoiding doing that, and I've been avoiding writing on the board as a whole.  I have been skimming posts regularly to see how everyone is doing.  I'll be back, soon I hope...

Well.... you've been missed catspaw.

I look forward to reading a complete update, if you ever feel like putting it down on the board.

I also like the quilting idea.  I see something more homespun, warm and comforting.... not sequins, lol.

Very nice...... I'll get started on it and begin collecting wood for the bonfire when you return: )

lighter,

Thanks.  OK, not sequins, but the ruby red has to include something glittery or shiny.  I'll start gathering wood, too.
