Feels like old home week
« on: December 13, 2007, 09:35:13 PM »
Haven't started a new thread in awhile but guess I'll join in the Christmas festivities.

I used to post here because it was usually a cool oasis away from dealing with my dear, lovely, FOO.
Lately it seems rather similar to the fetid swamp my FOO dwells in.
Mudpuppies only thrive in cool, fresh water. This bilge water is clogging my gills and mucking up my little corner of the pond.
I'll be on the bank nursing a hot chocolate, waiting for the snapping turtles to fill their bellies and the turbidity to subside.

What a priveledge and special time for us all to be able to relive such fond FOO memories of (pardon my french) piss on earth, good will toward none.

Hi Mud,
Last time we scrambled up on the bank with you it was summertime, and pond life was easy.
I seem to remember hammocks, and pinacoladas, and lazy breezes.

Hmm. Winter on the bank, brrrr. Well, if you've got a BIG thermos...

I'll park myself right by you, lean back on the log...

Maybe if we squint, we'll see some amazing stars.

One especially twinky one.

I'll be on the bank nursing a hot chocolate, waiting for the snapping turtles to fill their bellies and the turbidity to subside.

Me, too, Mud.

Or maybe I'll go running through the field beyond the bank--there's a big world out there waiting to be explored.

Merry Christmas, Mudpuppy.  When I count my blessings, you are definitely in the list...

Love

Been trying to determine whether what I feel is voiceless or speechless... and I'm not sure there's really much difference, at this point, so... joinin you on that bank, if you please, brother Mud.

Mud-

You are always a refreshing , heartfelt and intelligently informative person, a voice of empathy and truth, on so many levels. It must be the clean water and fresh mud! I will bring the marshmallows, and Ho-Hos if you like, and wait with you and the others for the pure waters to flow.

Love,

Changing

::dragging wood for the fire::

It's winter.... we need a fire.

I dreamed a huge tree fell in my yard last night.... so I have plenty.

(((((((((((((((((Mudpuppy)))))))))))))

Yes, the little contact I have had with my FOO has been joyous. Blech!!! I don't have mudpuppies, just shrimps and an ugly dog, but they are the focus for me :) How are your little ones? Are they excited? This time of the year has never been enjoyable for me... since childhood. I enjoy it more because of the kids. But I'll take a hot day on the beach over this season anytime.

Does your FOO live near you?

Wishing you clean, sparkly water and lots of mud critters to eat (mudpuppies can't have hot cocoa, sorry).

Love, Beth

Oops.
Made the mistake of sliding back in too soon.
Guess I'll bandage up the boo boo and get back to my Ho Hos.
