See, if there are four people in a family then there are five personalities, because the fifth personality is what we call the collective personality, and it's very important. Everybody in the family has to have a role. Everybody in the family has to say, "I am important to this family. I fit in. I contribute in this way." That's their soft place to fall. It's their sense of belonging, and you have to understand that it becomes a problem if somebody feels like, "I don't fit in here." They may contribute differently, but everybody has to know, "I'm important, and my absence would make a difference to everybody else in the family."
You have to understand that if there's a problem, it is a family problem, it's not an individual problem. Don't be defensive, be part of the solution.

From Dr. Phil page.

All of what I have been posting brings me back to my initial idea. If you are welcome in to this world, by the people who made you, who gave you birth, your life will be totally different from the opposite if you are not welcome in to this world by that person who gave you birth.

And after that, I rest my case.

I never had that sense of belinging. Never. My mother, sister and borther had a team. I did not beling there. They had secrets. etc.
So, again, I say I rest my case and keep going.
