Merry Christmas Eve Izzy!
« on: December 24, 2007, 09:49:36 PM »
Hi Izzy,

Hope you are having a nice night. I am drinking a cup of cocoa and it is really delicious. What movies are we watching this evening?

Much Love,

Changing

Hi Changing...
butting into your greeting to Izz...

just want to send you a hug.

Hot cocoa sounds like just the thing.
I'm going to go make some popcorn.

I forgot to monitor my Netflix queue and I've got Control Room.
I think it's too somber for me for tonight.

But something about TV does seem jolly and cozy tonight.
Maybe one time I can watch without guilt.

Changing, here's to a peaceful and serene Christmas for you.
I hope you and Sammy are snuggled up enjoying the love.

sending more,
Hops

Well no hot cocoa for me - I burnt the pot and TV is all reruns but I'm resting a while before getting to work on gift wrapping and preparation.  We left 3 cookies for Santa - I think I'll have one - but my luck - little one will come down and catch me!!!

Believe it or not I'm watching Court TV - ON X-MAS EVE!!!  There's just nothing on!!

I wanted to light a fire but little one said Santa wouldn't be able to get down the chimney if I do.

Changing and Hops - this little thread so cheered me up.  I was feeling so lonely and alone on X-mas eve - thanks for sharing some warmth -

Dear Gaining Strength-

No need to feel lonely - we won't stand on ceremony here! Pajamas, robes, slippers and socks meet the dress code for our Christmas eve fest! I actually enjoy many of the Court TV programs - but I have no TV!!!!
I went to the Wholesale Mart and got these incredible bags with 3-d decorations, quite elaborate- and they were really inexpensive, a dozen for the price of one bag in a regulart store, and no tax. My wrapping skills are not even up to the rudimentary level, I'm afraid, so these fancy bags andgorgeous tissue paper (also a real bargain) somewhat make up for my deficinecy in tha area. Are you one of those perfect wrapping people- if so, tell me your secret!
UMMM- I could use one of those cookies with this cocoa- but I guess Santa needs them more than I do!

Love,

Changing

((((((((((((((Changing and Hops and GainingStrength and Izzy))))))))))))))) Warm Christmas HUGS to you all...

well, I'm not alone here, but it's *to each his/her own* time. So I stoked the fire and allowed myself to feel some pangs of Christmases past. Hard to shut that off once you allow it to begin... so y'all are just in time.
Thank you for the smiles and cozy-ness you create in my heart, each and every one.

With much love,
Carolyn

I do love wrapping and always have these "Martha Stewart" plans that don't quite get met.  Tonight it is all about figuring out how to do Santa.  In years past I have planned a little hunt with clues but I've got nothing planned this year.  We'll see.

Hmm, let's see- between us so far we have one tub of popcorn with movie and TV (Hoppy without guilt), one stoked fire (Certain Hope), one pot of cocoa (me) and one pile of stunningly wrapped presents (Gaining Strength) looking for a Santa to deliver them. Sounds pretty cozy low stress and fun to me.

Love,

Changing

Hello My Izzy-

I told you that I would be coming over for Christmas, so here I am with a few of our friends! Yesterday I sang at church ( I was in a unusually cross mood and had to push myself first thing in the morning, but eventually everything turned out quite well.)
Later I went with my friend to visit her mother- she broke her hip and has dementia, and is in a skilled nursing facility. We did her nails, etc.She has always been so very nice to me through the years. Now she no longer has her own place and her daughter (my friend ) has been thinking of giving away her cat as she jumps about and makes a mess. When we got back to my friend's place I helped her fix things up there, etc- I'm hoping she will reconsider about her mom's pet.
Today I did laundry, cooked special meals for my pets, did bills, etc, did physical therapy and such. It was a great day, actually. The divorce, house repairs , law school etc have been murder on my money situation so I am in a tightly budgeted phase, but actually I have all that I really need. It is rather nice not having to run hither and yon, but just cocoon here at home, especially given the chaos and strain of the last 6 months.
What kind of perfume did you get, Miss Izzy?

Love and Happy Christmas Eve,

Changing

My Poor Izzy-

Here we are slurping cocoa and munching Santa's cookies and popcorn in your living room, and your leg and heel are still wounded. So terrible. It's good that a nurse is coming to see you at home- still I am concerned about the sores, etc that keep cropping up. Has the rash gone completely I hope?
My HMO has a system whereby one can order medication by mail. It certainly makes things easier, and it is cheaper as well, as the copay is also reduced.
I do hate the money tightness, but I am so happy that Bagworm is gone, that the money is not the foremost priority here- guess it can't be free to be free! I am concerned about how things will play out, but I'm just going to do my best, enjoy what I can, and deal with it...
Bagworm is not in the phone book, he is hiding from everyone- he is lying to his former company and committing Workers Compensation fraud I believe, so he doesn't want them to find his true address. I think that he is living in a guest house with some rather notorious people. He has his mail forwarded  instead of providing his true address. This really messes up my mail service, as he won't give his new address and some times my mail is forwarded , etc. His stuff is still here, I can't send it anywhere, pay storage instead of use my garage, can't get rid of anything until the lawyer says, so I don't have living room or dining room furniture! I have started to get on my lawyer's case about this- maybe things will improve. Oh, Whatever! March hopefully is that blessed time when I will no longer be married to.....a rotten Bagworm!!!! Hooray!!!!
Oh Izzy- your admirer gave you some chocolates! And books! You siren, you!
Please heal quickly my Dear- we want you shipshape ASAP!
Sorry I took so long to answer- I dozed off from the cocoa!

Love to you,

Changing

Lupita-

Merry Christmas Eve!

Certain Hope-

One of my favorite doggies ever was named Daisy... a Border Collie.
It really is a pretty moon tonight- if I weren't drowsy with the cocoa, I'd howl at it with with Daisy and Sammy!

Izzy, Hoppy, Teartracks, Gaining Strength, Certain Hope and Lupita- Thank you for sharing Christmas Eve, you have been so wonderful to me, and I really enjoyed sharing tonight with you. Izzy- you have been the consummate hostess, even with an ailing leg. Love you ALL. I hope all of the desires of your hearts come to pass this next year (or even sooner!)

Love,

Changing
