I suppose both men and women get mid-life crises.  Life can have many crises, being what it is.
The menopause can be particularly difficult for many women, and sheer hell for the men who have to put up with them LOL.

Give the guys a break!

I agree with you fully.  I am sure there are some men on this group.  Yes? 

I have a low endurance threshold when it comes to listening to male bashing, even in what seems like a mild form.  All humans have their faults, men and women.  Women are far from perfect.  I know.  I am one! LOL.

I have no sisters, and practically all my cousins are male (the one or two female cousins were older than me).  So, I played with the boys, and I think my mother used to despair of me!
I get on well with men, possibly better than I do with women.

I dislike shopping, in particular I dislike shopping for clothes (my women friends are so perplexed by this LOL), I like action movies, westerns, science fiction....

You might wonder how on earth did I meet and marry an N.  I probably would not have done so had I not been introduced to him by a well-meaning friend.  Which is why I sometimes draw the "accident" analogy.  Nor did I marry in the first flush of youth.

So if it is any consolation, anyone can get taken in by the N, anyone.

Thinking about it some, Dr Grossman is a man and he was/is okay with the article!

And personally, I don't do Generalizing.

I took the article to mean what is says on the label ~ not generally all, only those that do, is my referred view.

I don't generalize either.  There are all kinds.  Mid-life...well some (both men and women) sail through it, others find it more difficult.  That is how it is.

My post was not addressed to, nor, directed to in response, to you personally.

But rather, it was my just writing out my personal view, in particular, after reading again, the article.

As a free thinking individual with a sense of humor, hence the piccy pun!!

maybe I read the article a different way - I took it as saying the majority of men do not report having mid-life crises and that most "improve" with age

So it was a tribute to men in my mind.

It was only dissing narcissitc men for using the excuse of having "mid-life" crises, when in fact it is just their personality.

Can't perceive Dr Grossman posting it as anything other than that.
