I've only been a member for a couple days, and wasn't sure I had found the right place, but thank you to everyone who has extended a warm welcome to me.

It's a very nice start. :D

:D On my third year here and -  through the ups and downs and one extended absence - this board has proven to be a cozier home by far than the one in which I grew up... and the most welcoming place on the net, too, imo!  I hope you'll continue to prosper here, Daily Mail!

I've noticed in the last day or two that I've misstepped a few times in my zeal to jump right in without knowing the characters or the history.  I've embarassed myself and been reminded how on going to an Olde English Dance group a couple years ago, with a bunch of very serious history buffs, I just could NOT get the steps needed in order to conduct myself in a most lady-of-the-court manner, and how I was absolutely delighted and giggly over how many mistakes I could make in one evening and be OK in my ridiculousness.

I hope it's just as Ok with you that I'm clumsy and awkward.

Actually, Daily Mail,

I'm enjoying chatting with you here.   You make sense to me and you get me thinking and considering.  Please stick around.  It's nice to have people who want to understand me.  I make sense to myself, but sometimes not to others and i'm not sure why that is yet.  Maybe it's the dysthymia thing or the ADHD one that I battle.

Daily Mail,

To me, your zeal is refreshing and invigorating... and I'm glad you're not into playing everything so close to the vest.
There's really no better way to get to know the pond, is there?  Just put on those hip boots and wade right in!
heh.
