Week from hell.
« on: March 01, 2008, 08:48:35 AM »
Start the week off as it is brunch time for Ds wedding reception which is today!  Backed into my other Ds car, and now my H was laid off.  My ex did not help with the wedding  Or reception and is two months late on child support.  It is a bad time.  Of course I has been drunk since he got ibid off!

Ok let me edit that.  It is crunch time.  My husband is the one who has been drunk since he got laid off.

Oh, Kelly, wow.  I have been feeling so sorry for myself
for being sick in bed all week, then reading this and hearing
about Lupita's week and Izzy's and tt's and all that Ami is
dealing with and just everyone!  Seems like life is really
sucking so much for so many right now.

Brighter days are coming, hang on!

yeah he is reeling and the economy is so bad.  I hope there is another job out there!  Meanwhile I was thinking about my mom who is loaded and she will not offer help but will wait until we are in a state of desperation and have to beg so she can play the hero.

Hoping, praying, that good will birth out of this hard trial.

Maybe, just the thing to break out of his pattern.

Dear Kelly,

I'm sorry that times are so tough... yet I know that wondrous changes can grow out of this, so just praying for God's very best for you and your family. Keep the faith, girl.

Love,

BEg away OC but learn to do it with detachment.  The easiest analogy that comes to mind (but I'm sure there is a better tasting one) is of a desparate mother prostituting to feed her young.  Just detach and get what you need.  The way I think about it is that I am asking for only what I would do for my son and what my grandparents more than did for my mother.  Ask but don't swallow the guilties or the ought to's or the endebtedness.  Just beg, grovel and thank.

Good advice.  The reception was great!  A good end to a bad week.  Then the people came out of the woodwork to tell my H about jobs.

".... all things to the good"    Truly, so very glad to know that the reception was a joyous occasion, with such a blessing at the end!
