Lise brought up a silly topic in a way in another thread...

What kind of dog would you be, and why????

I would like to be fairly active, but not need to run all day. I would like to be an interesting bred - either hairless or wrinkly!! I would like to be an intelligent breed, but not a super-dominant breed.

Hmmm... so the hairless Mexican dog (the one that wins the ugliest contest a lot)... or a Bordeaux... or a Mastiff...

When I saw the title of your thread I immediately thought of a Mexican dog - very thin-skinned...

In reality, I'd like to be a wolf, howling at the moon and traipsing through the woods.

That's not exactly how I pictured myself, but I have seen that little guy before. I must say, he does stretch beyond my idea of cute/ugly a bit into the less attractive realm...

I'm trying to say something sweet about him... uh... his nose is kinda cute...

I have always liked appealing mutts the best.  The kind that look really jaunty and proud of themselves when they have a stick, or who get all excited at the beach, and who have very expressive ears and tails.

Your budgie sounds sweet.
I like snakes, but hubby is terrified of them... oh well.
I hate the thought of Henry dying. That would be so painful, even though he is not helpful to me in any way, shape or form.
Mud, thanks for adding the second horrid picture. Gosh, I had seen that pup before, but his image is just revolting. I know they said he was a pleasant and sweet dog, but, oh my...

I would have to say I would be a Golden Ret too.

I have one and I do think sometimes we think alike.  She is a chocolate freak.  She's not supposed to have it but she sneaks.
I found her today trying to scratch through my 'D's bedroom door to get to the easter baskets.

She looked observed and waited,waited,waited some more till she thought I was on the computer then went in for the attack.

She didn't know how loud she was and just about passed out when I came walking up behind her. 

Reminded me the day I snuck  into my D's bedroom.  I couldn't take it anymore and had to have one of her cadbury eggs.
I was so happy, I unwrapped it quietly, Bit into it and Off popped my cap on my front tooth.  Busted!

I would like to think of myself as one of those sweet dogs that has been raised in a less than perfect home.  Finally my owner cannot deal with me anymore so she takes me to the shelter.  A great family adopts me at age three and I live in a great house of people who love me!  I am a lab mix just like my dog who I adopted from a shelter.  Only thing is I do not want to be as shy as she is.

A Boston Terrier.

Because I have quirks, and so does my dog.  He snores, snorts, and generally amuses me to no end, plus he's really smart and keeps learning new words.
