funny, Beth
Lying down in public? Hmmmmmmmm I suppose I could get away with it.
and lighter,
Oh yes, elevating my legs! I had to when I first left the hospital. I took a stool to work and put my feet up while at my desk. One gal friend always brought me a footstool when I visited. Then came the time when the swelling was 'under control' and I didn't need to be so watchful.
Now I spend 12 hours in bed, from reading time until wake up time. Yesterday I had a lie-down at 1:00 and at 4:00 to read but fell asleep both times. I had one awful night of 'surface sleep', after I finished my book at 3:00 a.m.
I have been up for over an hour and my leg is still looking good---- so if I ever get to the point of no swelling, I could be all right. ..... for someone on the downhill road, timewise. I don't relish another break, another cast. I said No More in 2003, but had this one. Now I again say, "No More".
Circulation is another reason. Take the 'purple' out of my legs, except for the scars; they remain purple: pantyhose covers.
Love
Izzy
