Had a lazy day today
« on: June 13, 2008, 06:30:15 PM »
I have a lot to do, should hustle but I needed downtime. I slept late, did very little about urgent matters, just did what I wanted to do.The day has gone but I think it meant something, nonetheless (words of a sluggard if there ever were any!)

Love,

Changing

hiya changing

Have a great day at the beach.

I identified with your post. I went for my lie down, to elevate my legs, began to read and fell asleep for 2¼ hours.

These lie downs are interfering with my days. I said this before you returned, that one nurse said to lie down every ½ hour (be a shut-in) and her companion nurse followed that with hoping/instructions that I get out enough (be a gad-about)

Even they cannot agree and I have to laugh because this is me and I will lie down when I want to/have time and I will go out when I want to/need food. I haven't reached the old age home yet!

Your day was messed up and sometimes all my days are messed up, but that affects no one but me, and yes, I could feel like a sluggard but prefer to think of the "lie-down' nurse. That lets me off the hook.

I am happy to hear that your foot is doing well.

Love
Izzy

A nap, Izzy.... sounds so lovely.

In the sunshine.

I remember napping with babies in the sun.

Rare, but cherished memories.

You'd best take those lying down spells seriouse, at least for while, till your legs match.

I
AM
a
sluggard.

No "feeling like" about it.

So far behind on the paperwork, I've let it get mountainous.

Figured out I have avoided it (and made things worse) because my brother's actions trigger a fear of making a mistake so I'm afraid to start and that makes things late and I feel ashamed and scared, as well as guilty.

Hops (sorry for the hijack of a pleasant topic, Changing...)

Awwwwwwwww, Hops,

What can I say to give you a boost?

That must be difficult, fear of making a mistake and your brother.

Big breaths! and think positively

Awwww, Hops.

I so identify with your fear of acting bc you're afraid to make a mistake.

Mired in paperwork and terrible subjects I really don't want to face.

(((Hops)))

Will you update us on the garden?

Hoppy, Izzy, Lighter-

Hoppy, you have psychic powers! Your comment about fearing to make mistakes about crucial items resonates to the core!!!

I have so many fires to put out, BIG ones- I am afriad to mess up!!! It feels like I am swimming in cement sometimes- thank you for bringing this up. I feel better identifying the cause of my inaction.

Izzy, Thank you for the advice. I will do what you suggested to Hoppy- you really know how to accomplish things. I get overwhelmed and unsure, when I should just take a breath (at the beach) and get going, attacking my challenges !

Lighter, I know that things are going to get better. ((((((((((Lighter))))))))))

Love,

Changing

Dear Changing,

Just thinking of you and your day at the beach
and hoping that your time there will stir new vitality and hope within you.

My own sluggard mode has threatened to take serious hold over the past few days.
Casting it off now ~ deliberately, determinedly, with forceful movement.... just not perfectly !   :)

Saying yes to light and the making of mindful choices. Thank you, Lighter.
