Dear Richard
« on: June 15, 2008, 12:59:33 PM »
I have written about CB's comment to Besee. I did not know that I could not quote a quote from ANY particular thread. Is this a new add on to the NC rule .Does the NC rule now apply to quoting  members IF they are ON  a certain thread, also?
Lise and Leah have a NC rule and I don't see any enforcement of that.
It seems as if the NC rule morphs selectively in a biased way.
Lighter has mentioned my name on NUMEROUS  occasions without a single reprimand. Why would that be? I ask in all seriousness, Richard.Does the NC rule apply selectively to certain board members and not others?     Ami

Does the NC rule INCLUDE that you cannot QUOTE s/one from a thread STARTED by a NC person. If so, I do not believe  that was clear.Do you, Dr Grossman?     Ami

Hi Ami,

I am asking you to identify who said the quote and the thread it was found on--in your original post.  Otherwise it is confusing:  people can't evaluate the quote in its original context.

Dr G,
Just for the record and the veracity of this issue. I will refer to rule number 2,which says that I must name the PERSON I am refering to, which is CB. I did not know that I was NOT allowed to PULL a quote form a NC persons thread. Is that the case? Is that part of the NC rule that I cannot QUOTE a board member FROM a post ON a NC persons  thread?
If so, then this is not stated as part of the NC rule in the rules you listed.
The thread in question is a NC persons thread, Lighter, but the QUOTE is NOT from a NC person, CB.
Does the NC rule include taking quotes from posts from any board member who is ON a NC persons thread, Dr Grossman?    Ami

PS The threads name is 'What we have learned from Recent Board Strife?"

No.  (Assuming, of course, the quote has nothing to do with the NC person)

Thanks for providing the info,

Richard
