thinking positively
« on: June 17, 2008, 04:54:12 PM »
The more we talked about something negative, the more we talk about it, the bigger it gets, but fortunately it happens the smae when we talk about something positive.

Can we please, please, please, talk about something positive that happned here?

I have many things to talk about here that are positive.

I love to come see answers when I post a rpoblem and many people give me encouragement.

Can somebody else add more?

Just positive, only positve, please, please.

Love to you all. God bless you!!!!!!!

Lupita.

YOU are the something positive that I would choose to write about.  I see you hit the depths of despair, but you never remain there.  I see you very honest about your frustrations (even with people here on the board), but you move on and continue to care for us.  I see you asking for what you need and then accepting that whatever you get is what you TRULY need.

You're my hero.  Thanks for being here, Lupe.

Thank you for you r compliments, I really appreciate them but that was not the purpose of this thread.

We need to add positive things that happen here, and they happen all the time.

One after another.

Thank you so much for your acouragement.

i can say that when I was the saddest I came here and I always recieved nice words from compassionate people.

I remember when Ami's son went into Glory with Jesus,  everybody reconciled their differences and united in her pain.

When somebody is suffering, everybody feels sorry for them.

I am sure that everybody here has something nice to say.

Dear Lupita,

We rarely connect here on the board but I do enjoy reading your threads. I love the way you "move" your words.

I've quietly followed your struggle with your ex-school/position, wishing you well and cheering you on.

I found a therapist on a sliding scale for 25.00 a session, we will start next Tuesday. Hopalong helped me find it.

That was here in this board.

We need this board. Can you say something positive?

Something positive for me is that I can look back over the past many months that I've been here to read my old threads and I am like...wow...that was me!! I grow.

I see the growth in my words when I go back and look at my very first few threads about Nsaint.

If it had not been for Bill and Ami in those first few weeks/months I do not know what I would have done. Ami and Bill reached out to me, helped me see that all was not my fault.

Thank you Ami and Bill.

Then there is Carolyn -- she has been a constant support through my hurt over the sociopath in my life...Carolyn has affirmed and reaffirmed and shown real insight, kindness and compassion to me time and time again.

Then there is Bean..well bean is wise, smart and super fun...she has a tender heart and reaches her hand out to others when she see's them hurting. She has not been too available lately because of her bully boss...

I appreciate Izzy and her wit as well her cuteness  -- she has brought a laugh and smile to my face more than once here.

Hops -- touched me with the way you reach out to others and remain a voice of reason and peace. You really are a peacemaker.

Shame Slayer - your healing journey has helped me in ways I cannot even begin to describe...I read your threads, which always bring a sense of warmth to my heart, I cheer you on and get what you are trying to do. Also, your warm heart has reached out to me in kindness and strength many times.

Then there is Amber -- I appreciate your sharing of your open struggle to heal as well as your insights which have illuminated much inner truth for me.

Lighter - we have only just begun to get to know each other. All I can say is that I appreciate your recent words of support and help. I am glad that I kept and openmind and thought things through for myself.

Lise

Edit in:

I forgot tt..........tt is a lifesaver! She is wit, warmth, wonderful and always so full of support and strength!

Love you tt!

Hey Lupita:

Wanted to update you on those answers.....

the good news:  My buddy spent hours answering all the questions last night.

the bad news:   She thought she hit SEND but it didn't go through when she checked this morning.

She's presently trying to figure out her HISTORY feature and bring it back up.

::crossing fingers::

You're going to get a new job!

I know it: )

For the first time, I felt totally ignored. Only one person responded to what I was asking.

Thank you Gabben, you gave me validation.

I asked if please, you have something positive to say about the board.

Just one person did.

Thank you so much for that one person who did what I desired. That gave me validation.

Thank you Gabben.

We need to be happy for the one that is nice and not sad for the others.

Although I appreciate your compliments, it is totally ignoring the purpose of this thread.

By ignoring it you are invalidating me.

But It does not matter.

You are too busy with the juicy fights.

It is eassier to fight than to develop a good attitud.

Do not forget that President Clinton was so busy deffending him self against the sex scandal, (when in thousands of years a president was judged for extramarital sex?) that terrorist had the time to develop attacks against us wich happened later. When we spend the time accusing the unly person that is devoting his time to develop a site for our beneift we are causing more damage than anything. We should not bite the hand that helps us.

Again, I am asking my dear friends to post something positive about the board.

Oh... Lupita.

I'm sorry.....

I see lots of positive things with the board.

It's a multi level teaching center, IMO.

We learn through:

watching others grow

getting advice

teaching the lessons we've learned

there are so many styles that someone's is bound to speak to us (I've noticed my voice doesn't reach you many times )

But that's OK cause there's someone else who will.

We have a little lab set up where we can experience all kinds of cyber situations and deal with theml, over and over and over again... until we resolve, make peace or accept and move on.

That's pretty amazing, really.

The very best part, for me.... is having wise voices to offer their experiences, so I may learn from them.

Lighter

ps  I felt guilt and impatience when I saw your voice yesterday....

I didn't hear you, you're right.  Sorry about that.

Lots of trouble with being patient right now.

A gentle reminder will go a long way with me.

Thanks

The guilt was over my not getting those answers to you sooner.... but the lady
answering them lost them in cyber space and had to answer them again and I felt guilt for that too.

Guilt sucks: (

I am sorry, too, Lupita.

Did you want something positive about the board, per se, or the members on the Board?

I'll say here that I like to come here to read posts on how people are doing. I sometimes feel quite helpless to be of benefit to some, and for others I feel I might have an example, but try to never tell them what to do to heal as each will heal, or solve her problem, in her own way in the long run!

The board is a place to keep up to date with the progress of cyber friends.

I'm sorry, Lupita.  I think it's to your credit that you were impatient with posts that simply said that YOU are a positive aspect to the board (although you are!)

I have to run out the door this very minute, but I wanted to let you know I will be back. You're right I have been preoccupied and I will try to do better.

Love you.

Hi Lupita,

Speaking positively, and openly ...

I have walked through my own personal valley of tears, looking toward the promise of a rainbow - a new beginning, and I have walked the stony path, pressing on towards the door of sunlight,

-- having found the key, I have now unlocked the door, and so now, I choose to walking onwards, to a life anew.

Empowered and Equipped with a Voice of integrity - for whatever may present itself in life during the days, months, years, ahead.

I am truly grateful to be a survivor with a heart of hope and contentment.

My hearts desire is to serve, not be served.
