What a wonderful breezy day it was today...
« on: June 17, 2008, 08:31:23 PM »
I hope everyone got out and enjoyed their surroundings today.

Living in the moment... and not just on this board.... is a good thing.

That was a nice easy breezy (covergirl) moment to read this headline.

After all of the tension on this board I can see why some of the lighter topics are good and useful. In the past I was using my accusation of your gaslighting with these topics as a cover for my own sense of shame at my deep sharing and pain.

Now, that I have come to know you better, lighter, I know that you have heart and do not judge others for their pain. You expressed it well to me in that you care, but it can be hard for you to relate.

Sometimes we just need each other and need to get to know each other in "lighter" ways...

(((Gabbin)))

It's true.... sometimes I'm not the best at relating.

Sometimes I do a very poor job.

But.... I did manage to go out into the sun, nurture and care for plants I haven't taken the time to glance at in a while.

Like caring for old friends.... and....

my mother was with me: )

Such a wonderful day....

::whispering::

and it was a surprise.

I agree... and I've noticed, at times, the same sensations in myself... when suddenly I did not appreciate the lighter side one tiny little smidgen...
but I wasn't sure why.
Thanks, Lise. I'm learning from you all the time.

and Thanks, Lighter... I appreciate you, too... and I'm so glad you had a day of refreshment.

Love,
Carolyn

Dear Lighter,

I love your passion for gardening. I could just visualize you kneeling and bending over nurturing the green and giving care in the soil.

If I had a place to grow a garden I would, it must be a joy to get out of yourself in into creation through nature?

It seems that the times when I go out for long walks, in the nature that surrounds my house, is when I too can hear the whispering of my deceased beloveds.

I have house plants. I have no idea what they are, they come to flower from time to time, in robust fashion. Then the flower petals fall off and for many months they are just green leaves. These little plants are good company - when one dies I always feel sad.

One day I hope for an outdoor garden.

Lise

(((Carolyn)))  I appreciate you too.... esp some of your recent threads.

Going to re read them again..... very important topics.

Gabbin.... I;m so glad you're growing potted plants.

I love pots and planters.  Mixing different plants, the tall with the short with the frilly with the different greens, so creative and calming.

I hope you get your outdoor garden.  You can plant tomatoes and peppers etc in pots too.

The cherry tomatoes always produce well for me..... fresh herbs, if you have a sunny place.

Your right about getting out of ourselves through nature.....

I feel the same way about church.... opening ourselves to something larger.... something outside.... ourselves.
